Dodo (due 1st Quarter 2024)

Description

Charlie Bears Signature Collection.  41cm (16 inches).  Made from plush fabric.  Jointed.  Limited edition of 750.  The Dodo achieved widespread recognition from its role in the story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and it has since become a fixture in popular culture, often as a symbol of extinction and obsolescence.  The Dodo bird had blue-grey feathers, a large head and beak, and small, useless wings.  They were ground dwelling and thought to lay only one egg.  On the isle of Mauritius they were easily hunted by human sailors, and introduced rats, cats, pigs & monkeys.  It had no fear of humans, so was considered pretty dumb.
