Description
Red Cross Badge. WWII Era dated 1941. Measures 2cm in diameter.
We are unsure on the history of this badge. It may be linked to fundraising efforts by the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) founded in 1822 at the Harp Inn opposite Drury Lane Theatre in the UK that had chapters throughout the British Empire including here in Australia, including Sydney & Newcastle. The United Buffaloes lodges held balls and dances during WWII, which were also huge fundraisers for the Red Cross war effort. Badge measures 2cm diameter.
