The film Apollo 13 was released in 1995.  Directed by Ron Howard & starring Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Ed harris & gary Sinise, it dramatizes the aborted 1970 Apollo 13 lunar mission and is an adaptation of the 1994 book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13.  After an on board explosion deprives their spacecraft of oxygen supply and electrical power, the famous line was uttered in communication with NASA Headquarters: “Houston, we have a problem…”
