One weekend a year in July, people all over the UK will take 15 minutes out of their busy lives to spot butterflies and moths, and to record the varieties they see for Butterfly Conservation.

96% of the High Brown Fritillary butterfly population has been lost since the 1970’s and it is now Britain’s rarest butterfly. It can now only be discovered at around 50 sites where conservationists are working hard to save it from extinction. Designer Kerry Goodwin was very much taken with this elusive butterfly, and she captures a single High Brown Fritillary on a new, numbered edition plaque, A Rare Discovery.
