German Wehrmacht Toy Set

Description

German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) Wehrmacht Plastic Toy Set from the 1940 WHW Winter Charity Relief Campaign (Winterhilfswerk).  Complete set of tweleve.  Each time you donated a few pfennig coins, you received a badge or token in return.  The aim was to collect a set and encourage people to continue to donate.  Funds donated went to help those in need and in this instance the Red Cross to assist wounded soldiers on the front and at home.  Each toy measures around 4cm in either height or length.

Plane props all intact.

In this set are:

Heer Army: grenadier, howitzer with crew, paratrooper, machine gun team, signal team with field phone, panzer tank.  Kriegsmarine Navy: light cruiser, speedboat with crew, submarine U-Boat, destroyer.  Luftwaffe: Dornier Bomber, Me-109 Fighter.
