German Tinnie Badge features the Protector of the Cathedral and Children, Mary. Dated 1930. maker marked on back J Puttmann, Speyer. Josef who died in 1957, owned a business in Speyer am Rhein that produced coloured embroidered banners. In 1930 he expandedhis business by purchasing JG Schreibmayr in Munich, which is still in business today. The banners that Puttmann produced included those made for WWI Veterans – featuring King & Country wording. Badge measures 4.5cm in height x 3.5cm wide.
