ETA Giraffe Glasses – Set of Four

$35.00

Description

Made in these four colours only, ETA used them to sell their Peanut Paste.  Actually peanut butter, the Australian Dairy industry in the 1930’s took exception to the word ‘butter’, forcing ETA to change the name to paste.

These glasses were used by Australian companies Kraft, Sanitarium, ETA & Cottee’s to sell jam, mayonnaise, sandwich relish, vegemite and peanut butter. Once the contents were consumed you collected the glass and re-used it. Pyro glazed they date from the 1940’s – 1960’s. Most therefore are around 60 years old.

Many of these glasses are available from Shop 12 individually, should you wish to add to your set. They are priced between $8 & $10 each.
