Description
Diatto was a pioneering Italian manufacturer of carriages, railway stock and luxury sports cars founded in Turin in 1835 by Guglielmo Diatto. In the 1930’s the company became famous for high engineering sports and Grand Prix cars designed by figures like engineer Guiseppe Coda. They collaborated closely with Bugatti and employe dthe Maserati brothers as test and race drivers. Alfieri Maserati famously raced Diatto cars before leaving in 1926 to launch the Maserati marque. It’s an amazing history at length.
