Australian Charity Badge Pair. From 1941 to 1945, during WWII, Australia raised funds for the effort to support Russia on the Eastern Front.  A public appeal sent sixteen thousand sheepskins for use by Soviet soldiers and the Red Cross Appeal sent 40 containers of medical supplies and medicine to Soviet hospitals.  Even the Newcastle, NSW Jockey Club got involved in raising funds for Russia.  Badges measure 2cm and 2.5cm diameter.
