Australian Fifty Cent Round 1966

Description

These Australian round fifty cent coins have never been in circulation.  They are a bright and shiny un-circulated condition.  With a silver content of 80% they were only produced for one year – 1966 – the year Australia introduced decimal currency.  No fifty cents were produced for the next two years by the Royal Australian Mint and then in 1969 the current dodecagonal (straight sided) coin was released made from copper nickel.  These round fifty cents are collectable with both coin collectors & silver buyers.
