Phillumeny is the hobby of collecting matchbox, matchbox labels and other related items. These matchbox labels are circa 1950-1960’s. Many of them have little homemade ‘tabs’ on the back, where they have been inserted into a collectors album seventy odd years ago. If you require photos of the backs of the labels, please get in touch and we can send these. Apart from that they are un-used, clean and in the condition you see in the images – overall new, near new, with a little age related foxing here & there. Each page of labels is a small instant collection. You may be a collector, wish to use them for craft work or frame the artwork. Most measure around 5cm x 3.5cm. Some are larger. The matchbox labels you see featured on the website were made worldwide for sale in countries that include: Soviet Union (Russia), former Yugoslavia, former Czechoslovakia, Belgium, India, Tunisia, Austria, Germany, Iceland & Australia.
