This trio of cats is in mint condition.  There are no chips or cracks.  The lustre is bright and shiny in the light.  The cats measure in height approximately: 55cm, 37cm & 25cm.

Jema, Holland was established in August 1942 by Jelis Mager and brother Johan in Rotterdam, Netherlands.  They lived in Maastricht a city in the south, where they took over a business partnership from Mr J Meussen that had existed since 1920.  After WWII ended in 1945 the business was registered and the ceramic studio  began full scale production in 1955.  Manufacture was to a high standard.

Much of Jema’s work is engraved on the base with a mould number and the words Jema Holland.  The business continued until 1984 when it became insolvent and closed its doors.
