Set of two German Photo Albums created by a German man, who enlisted in 1939.  Similar to a diary.  After enlistment & training he joined the Luftnachrichtentruppe (Air Force Communications) and served for seven years until the war ended.  During that time he was promoted twice, injured, fell in love, married his sweetheart, a sister passed away, endured the hardships of war & battle and arrived back in Germany after the war ended to a completely bombed out town, with the family home a pile of rubble.  In 1947 after so long away from home, his mother passed away.  With the German Wehrmacht he travelled through France, Belgium, Eastern Europe – Hungary, Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia.  Each destination documented in his soldiers book with 84 images including postcards & photographs.  The family album contains 71 images – a mixture of postcards & photographs and his deceased sisters funeral card.

Family Album measures 23.5cm x 19cm x 2cm.  The Soldiers album measures 22.5cm x 16cm x 1.5cm.  The soldiers name is unknown.  Further research could reveal who  he was.  A very rough (google) translation is provided.
