Bessemer Australian Made Serving Set of Bowl, Ladle & Sic Cups. Retailed as a Quartic Punch Bowl Set. It was available in two colours – Apple Green & Sunshine Yellow. Lionel Suttie who worked for Nylex, was the graphic designer behind its look. Over fifty years old, circa 1970’s i has timeless elegance – form and function – that is unlikely to date. The bowl measures 29cm square x 13cm in height. Cups measure 7cm in height by 7.5cm wide. ladle measures 31cm long.
Photos of the original box have been posted online by Sydney retailer That Retro Piece, who have a sunshine yellow set for sale at the time of this listing in its original box. The box suggests that the set could be used for punch, fruit salad, hot soup or serving Chinese food.
The colourful serving plate made in Japan and circa 1960’s is not part of this listing.
