Description
The photograph features two glasses. From the base of the stand tothe top rim of the glass the tallest measures approximately 16cm in height. Top diameter of glass 7.5cm. The smaller glass measures approximately 11.5cm in height x 5.5cm top rim diameter. Glasses will arrive with an information card and an original box. No damage. Circa 1990’s. Tasmanian Glassblowers. Breadalbane.
The information card reads, “Handmade in Tasmania from some of the world’s finest silica flour by skilled glassblowers (James Dodson who retired in 2020) using traditional techniques. The sand is mined near Savage River on Tasmania’s West Coast. Fluxes and furnace perform their chemistry and the molten glass flows with the breath of the blower into moulds to make the well designed production pieces or freely into one off forms that reflect the artists skill and sensitivity.”
