Crystal Craft Dolphin Plaque

Crystal Craft brand was the ultimate Australian holiday souvenier during the 1950’s – 1970’s.  Especially if you were road tripping up the east coast of Australia to Queensland.  Made from resin and loaded with glitter, sequins and sparkles or mother of pearl mussel shell (also creatively known as marine opal), they came in the form of paper weights, bar utensils, trivets, wall plaques, magnets & figurines such as a happy flower in a garden pot.

This dolphin was a souvenier from Tantanoola Caves, which are located in South Australia – the equivalent of Jenolan Caves in New South Wales.
