Vintage flag of United States/America featuring 48 stars. Circa 1940 – 50’s – before Alaska and Hawaii became states of America. The 48 star flag was in use for 47 years. Then a 49 star version became official on 4th July, 1959, then 50 stars were adopted in July 1960. Stamped 2yards America it measures 1.8 metres in length. Made in Australia and retailed by Aberdeen, 33 Regent Street, Sydney, Australia.
