His grandkids know Worcestershire Sauce as ‘Grandpa’s Sauce’ but John knows that won’t last.
Beerenberg Farm is a family owned and operated business in Hahndorf, Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The original farm was founded in 1839 by German migrant Johann Paech, as a dairy farm. When the farm was inherited by descendants in 1969 they sold the dairy cows and renamed the farm ‘Beerenberg’.
Originally selling home made jams from a roadside stall, the company has grown a lot since then. Sixth generation Anthony Paech is the current managing director, whilst brother Robert manages the farm. Sister Sally is Marketing manager. Much of the produce in the family’s food range are grown on the farm or in the surrounding areas. Their primary product is strawberries, and if you visit the farm you can pick your own! Every single product is made with love to guarantee flavour and taste. There are no artificial colours, flacours or preservatives.
In 2013 Beerenberg launched new labels for their products, featuring family, friends and workers at the farm. They will brighten your day. If you go onto the Beerenberg website you can put a face to a name!
