$100.00

Description

Males spend the mornings patrolling along courses of forest streams and rivers.  They are territorial and chase any rivals.  They typically live alone, excluding in the mating season.  Their entire lifecycle is around 115 days.  They feed on the juices of fermenting fruit.  This butterfly is mounted without abdomen as it emits a grease like substance which stains the backboard.  The species originates in Peru.  Frame measures 20 x 20 x 5cm and your butterfly specimen will come gift boxed with care instructions.
