Merry Maid – Maria
1 in stock
A 1950’s essential item for the housewife and homemaker, when you were judged by your peers by how neat and tidy your husband’s collared shirts were, when he left for work!
This plastic laundry sprinkler allowed you to dampen the clothes, which made getting the creases out easier, when ironing. Once irons came with built in sprinklers these Merry Maids were often re-purposed into salt and pepper shakers. As a child my local fish and chip shop had one for sprinkling vinegar onto your hot chips and fish.
Merry Maids were made in Australia and also in America.
(We’ve given the Merry Maids names only so we can tell them apart.)
