Gallipoli Badge (New)

Description

This new Enameled badge measures 2.5cm diameter.  The following words are printed on the back of the card.

“ANZAC and Gallipoli are words indelibly burnt into history by about 59,000 of the finest soldiers Australia and New Zealand ever produced.  Nearly 11,500 made the supreme sacrifice.  Given an almost impossible task and beset by poor planning and bad luck they nevertheless set new standards of courage, tenacity and determination.  Side by side in the face of terrible adversity they brought a new sense of nationhood to both Australia and New Zealand.  They fought against overwhelming odds and paid for it with blood and sacrifice.  We remember them.”
