ETA Circus Animal Glasses – Set of Three

$25.00

Description

Full set of three circus animals pyro glazed glasses used by ETA to sell peanut paste.  It was actually peanut butter, but in the 1930’s the Australian Dairy Industry took exception to the use of the word ‘butter’, forcing ETA to change their product to a paste instead.

These glasses were used by Australian companies Kraft, Sanitarium, ETA & Cottee’s to sell jam, mayonnaise, sandwich relish, vegemite and peanut butter. Once the contents were consumed you collected the glass and re-used it. Pyro glazed they date from the 1940’s – 1960’s. Most therefore are around 60 years old.

Many of these glasses are available from Shop 12 individually, should you wish to add to your set. They are priced between $8 & $10 each.
