Description
Hippiosideros Diadema is a bat from Australasia, also known as a leaf nosed bat. It has a wingspan of up to 35cm with large ears and a horseshoe shaped nose leaf. Widely distributed with large populations throughout North Queensland, Australia and India, China, Thailand, Malaysia. The species can be found in colonies of up to 50,000 individuals that roost mainly in caves. It’s flight is fast due to long narrow wings and feeds mainly on insects. It is a non threatened species. The frame measues30.5cm x 50.5cm x 5cm.
