Australian Gould League membership badge from 1962.  Metal and enamelled.  Features the White Browed Babbler Bird. Measures 2.5cm in height.  Maker marked AJ Parkes, Brisbane on back.  Members name is also faintly scratched into badge back at base and reads S. Piper.

Founded in Victoria in 1909, Environmental Education has always been their objective. The league was originally set up to prevent bird egg collecting and to educate for the protection of Australian Birds. It’s made a positive impact on generations of Australians and continues to do so today.
